I hate flying

When I was a young adult I was fascinated with flying. I took some flying lessons. I joined the military so I could fly. Became a flight nurse in the air force. I loved travelling.

Now I hate it. Haven't really done that much over the last 10 years but this year I have taken a few flights. In the last couple months I have flown 4 times. Of the 4, 3flights were delayed. Two of the flights were delayed 3 hours. Just got off a flight today: DELAYED.

Flying is a nightmare. Flights aren't on time. Plane seats are too small. Good luck if your seatmate is 300 lbs, you'll be squished into the window for hours. Then you have to PAY for your luggage. They thrown you a bag of peanuts and a coke and you're supposed to be happy. Why is this system allowed to be so uncomfortable and inefficient?

When people stop flying, things should improve to lure us back. I only fly once a year or so, less than a 2 hour flight. As long as the populace is happy with 'cheap' flight tickets, we'll keep getting the cattle car treatment.

I don't know but I do wish I could have been around back in the heyday when people dressed up for flights and things were far more grander!
