It is self abuse. Like I have said before, I would be willing to guess that a large percentage of nurses come from backgrounds with addiction in the family. girlvethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06431758200580814440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37811152.post-2900329914849211172015-03-18T17:01:23.645-05:002015-03-18T17:01:23.645-05:00I love reading your blog because it mirrors how I ...I love reading your blog because it mirrors how I feel, it seems like such a thankless, dirty perilous job but don't you think there's an addictive quality to it? Perhaps battered women have the same feeling towards their abusive partners. When I take a student I want to tell them to get the fuck out before they're taken over by false love. I'm so tired when I come home that I often miss out on enjoying my life. I pour all my efforts into someone just to have their family treat me like crap because their stressed. Well ya know what..I am sick of it. We all have problems and I would appreciate if people would quit taking theirs out on us. If I acted they way these people do I would get thrown out of any other place.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37811152.post-35010446580302242232015-03-16T11:44:12.599-05:002015-03-16T11:44:12.599-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11532546689125102655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37811152.post-3325281037933634032015-03-16T11:44:01.335-05:002015-03-16T11:44:01.335-05:00Very true. You are just human, but you are an extraordinary human. We put others above ourselves (I don't eat at work, it's a good night if I can pee twice) and that altruism is what makes us extraordinary. These people that breeze in and out of our lives, come in with a purpose. Most of the time that purpose is for their healing, but every few months you'll get a pt that comes in for your healing. The one that is grateful that you didn't eat so that you could medicate their loved one. The one that feels listened to, as you hold your bladder and your legs closed, during assessment. Our job is hard. Mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. We are only human... but we are extraordinary! ♡Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11532546689125102655noreply@blogger.com
