I hate to say this....but I am REALLY sick of taking care of people. I've been doing it for a long time and I am just tired. I'm tired of cleaning the butts of people I don't know. Is that okay?
Before you say, you knew what you were getting into blah blah blah. Time for you to quit blah blah blah. Don't say it. I will be gone within the year.
Is it possible to get a job where you sit in front of a computer, make the same money I do and only work a couple of days a week? Har. I am looking for the ideal job. The pickins are slim.
Deep breath, now blow it out (in somebody's face preferably). Feel better? I am in the same situation, different occupation. Unfortunately not only will I not get paid in another job what I make, I don't really want to do anything else. The only other career I have any interest in is nursing. How ironic is that? Maybe would could switch certificates and jobs for a few years?
ReplyDeleteRite a book
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies. Good luck in your new career. I assume you've considered other branches of nursing, or teaching?
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could write a book, based on your ER experiences. Something like:
"Surviving the ER Madness, a practical guide for patients on how not to act in the Emergency room."
You write it, and I'll buy a copy.
I'm right there with you, girl. I feel myself getting angry just driving to work.. dealing with patients and their families puts me in such a foul mood that all.I want to do is scream. It's awful. I would gladly sit in front of a computer and send emails and take phone calls all day. gladly.
ReplyDeleteYep I'm with ya feeling the same pain. It's a 15 on the 1-10 scale.
