I hate to break this to you, but none of the staff or other patients in the emergency care about your probation officer problems. We do not care to hear you talk at the top of your lungs to your PO about how you will probably have to go back to jail. You are an idiot.

I'm a long time reader delurking to say thanks. Because of you, and other ER blogs like yours, I knew how to be a good patient when I myself was in the ER the other night for a broken arm. You guys are doing hard, thankless, stressful jobs, and now I appreciate what you do, and your grace under pressure, more than ever.
